BANANA CAKE
3 large bananas (pisang raja) } mashed
250g self raising flour
160g sugar
180g butter
3 eggs } beaten
1-2 drops banana essence
1 level teaspoon baking powder
1 level teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
pinch of salt
Preheated oven at 150'C
Sieve flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda and salt into a dry container
Put butter and sugar in a bowl, cream untill creamy white
Add beaten eggs a little of a time
Beat well after each addition Add essence, milk and mashed banana
Fold in flour to blend well
Pour mixture into a greased cake tin
Bake at 150'C for 1 hr
